9/29/15

I spotted these recycling bins on my way to campus, and I was intrigued by the line they formed. This is the sort of thing I perhaps didn't think about as much before we talked about it in class, but I found the curve they formed to be very interesting, so I tried to capture it as well as I could in this photo, emphasizing the gradation in size from front to back.

  1. This is a great example of repetition. The one trashcan that's out of line isn't really fulfilling it's purpose for me, so I would have manipulated the positioning to create a more perfect curve. It's interesting that based on the level of the camera, this is a horizontal line. The trashcans create a funnel, instead of the diagonal line that could have been created if you had taken the photo from a bit lower angle.
